Powder metallurgy brake piece has two kinds: iron base and copper base. Iron base powder metallurgical brake piece has excellent tribological propertie and high mechanical strength under high temperature and high load, can be used within 400-1000 ℃, but attrition is quite large at low speed. Thermal stability of the iron base is higher than copper base. The disadvantage is that has the affinity with dual (such as cast iron or steel), easy to produce adhesive agglutination, volatile friction coefficient, easy to happen abnormal wear and tear, produce noise, etc.
