The high-speed train, high-power locomotives and French TGV high speed trains are all used this kind of brake block in Sweden, Canada and other countries. And they have achieved certain braking effect. But powder metallurgy brake block has great  abrasion on wheel. Its cost is higher than cast iron brake block and organic synthesis, thus make it difficult to use a lot.
