New Type Powder Metallurgy- Near Net Shape Technology

With the speeding up of technological progress and innovation, material processing technology is more and more toward the high performance, low cost, short process, near net forming direction, therefore emerge some new preparation technologies combining design, preparation and proces, such as metal injection molding technology. Metal injection molding (MIM) is a new type of powder metallurgy near net shape technology developing from the thoughts absorbing advanced plastic injection molding into traditional powder metallurgy. Its basic process is: firstly, mixing metal or ceramic powder with organic binder powder evenly, then molding by injection molding machine, remove binders from green part, finally through sintering densification to get final product.
