Advantages for rapid development of MIM powder metallurgy


Over last decades, MIM powder metallurgy (http://www.zcmim.com/) developed rapidly. And metal injection molding technology has already been a new fast developing technology.  There are many basic and practical research for MIM (http://www.sky-mim.com/about-mim.html) tungsten alloy, iron base, hard alloy and stainless steel, and which have also achieved so many research results .

Two most prominent advantages for fast development of MIM powder metallurgy:
(1) It can manufacture parts that are unable to manufacture or difficult to manufacture  with other process at present, such as parts with porous, sweating, shock absorption and insulation, products with refractory metals like tungsten, molybdenum and titanium, and other composite metal-plastic, bi-metal materials and products.

 (2) can produce desirable or close to desirable products directly, and reduce or eliminate machining with up to 95% utilization of materials. Powder metallurgy can also replace copper with iron to save materials and energy for some items.
