requirements for mass production by metal injection mold cavity. General
required hardness of cavity is 58~62HRC. Under injection temperature, metal
injection molding often produce corrosive gases. Hence corrosion resistance is
also a certain requirement for mold material. In order to obtain good fluidity
for feeding, MIM material applied low molecular weight and binder. It make MIM
feeding flash high sensitivity, similar to the characteristics of many nylon
materials. So MIM mold must have high accuracy, no flash, high surface quality
and quality requirements.
