The most common methods of powder metallurgy sintering



Powder metallurgy sintering methods usually have the following categories:
Liquid phase sintering
If there are more than two kinds of components in the powder blank, sintering is likely to be carried out above the melting point of a certain group of elements, so that a small amount of liquid phase appears in the powder compact during the sintering process.

Pressurized sintering
In the sintering process, the powder is applied to the powder to promote its densification process. Pressurized sintering is sometimes synonymous with hot pressing, hot pressing is the combination of powder forming and sintering, and the process of the product is directly obtained.

Activated sintering
Some physical or chemical measures are adopted in the sintering process, the sintering temperature is greatly reduced, the sintering time is shortened, and the performance of the sintered body is improved and improved.

Spark sintering

The powder body is formed by the direct current power and the pulse electric power, and the electric arc between the powder particles is sintered; and the pressure is gradually applied to the workpiece during the sintering process, and the two processes of forming and sintering are combined together.
