Powder Injection Molding is Sustainable

From point view of energy sustainability, general manufacturing process need a few traditional heating and re-heating process to forming. But when use atomized steel or iron powder, only  need melting scrap steel one time. All other hot working operations are carried out under the temperature below the melting point, which not only saving energy, and can be made into the final shape with required material performance and mechanical performance. By contrast of material utilization in powder injection molding process, found that the energy of manufacturing powder injection molding parts is 44% of required by forging, machining parts.
