Powder metallurgy friction materials are
divided into iron base and copper based materials according to the base metal,
and the working conditions are divided into dry and wet materials, and the wet
material is suitable for the work in oil.
Powder metallurgy friction material is
composed of basic components and auxiliary components. The bearing capacity,
thermal stability, wear resistance and heat resistance of the friction
materials are guaranteed by the component, structure and properties of the
basic components, and the auxiliary components can further improve the
performance of the matrix. Fe based friction material has good friction
performance at high temperature and high load, and can bear great pressure.
Copper based friction material has good
technology, stable friction coefficient, anti adhesion, good resistance to
clamp, and good wear resistance under wet working conditions, which is commonly
used in oil.
Powder metallurgy friction material is
mainly used for the production of machine tools, tractors, automobiles, mining
vehicles, construction machinery and aircraft on the clutch and brake.
