Binder is the core of MIM technology, and
MIM is an important difference compared with conventional powder metallurgy
method. The main function of the binder is to act as a carrier for the flow of
the bonded metal powder particles and to maintain the shape of the workpiece.
MIM binder should meet the following
requirements:
The contact angle of the powder is small,
and the adhesion ability is strong, and the reaction is not with the powder;
Injection temperature range of viscosity
change is not big, but the cooling viscosity change fast
Non stick mould;
With less dosage, the mixture can produce
better rheological properties with less binder;
