MIM combines the advantages of powder
metallurgy and plastic injection molding technology, breaking the limit of the
traditional metal powder molding process in product shape. MIM using metal
powder technology can be characterized by sintering out of the dense, with good
mechanical properties and surface quality of mechanical parts. At the same
time, the use of plastic injection forming technology can mass, high efficiency
to produce many parts with complex shape features: such as a variety of
external grooving, external thread, the tapered outer surface, cross through hole
and blind hole and concave part and the pin key, strengthen rib plate, surface
knurling and so on, parts with the above characteristics are inaccessible by
conventional powder metallurgy method, precision casting process are obtained.
